Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Kohlrabi

Every year I attempt broccoli, Brussels Sprouts and kohlrabi. I do very well with sprouting broccoli, but the kohlrabi always seems to bait the snails. I suppose that I now plant the kohlrabi more as an attempt to manage the cabbage worms than to eat. Although I hear that pickled kohlrabi is nice in a good martini ;)

Brussels Sprouts have a long growing season, but they are worth the wait. Growing up I had never eaten a Brussels Sprout, I kid you not - my mother did not like them and never served them! As an adult they are one of my favorite fall and winter vegetables and a regular on the Thanksgiving table.
