After reducing much of the lawn on the property, we finally set about repairing what was left. The ground was hard and void of organic material. First, we had it aerated, and then added calcium to condition the soil for better water absorption. And then spread compost and a sun seed mix. It took about 14 days of diligent watering, adding more compost as needed and patching seed. This is the first mow, which was done at 2 1/2" with no bag, so the clippings are returned to the lawn as a natural fertilizer.
