OK, when the basil managed to get aphids I was desperate. I snuck a lady beetle into the kitchen herb pot.Serves me right. She laid several eggs! On the plant stake, on the curtain . . .
But the aphids are pretty well gone!
UPDATED: the larvae have hatched - managed to move the plant stake outside in time, but others are still gracing hte kitchen - oops!
In other news I have green caterpillars dive bombing the roses - luckily soldier bettles have moved in to attack!
holding out for a little eco balance and possibly a big scrub jay!
