Since I have not been able to compost fast enough to amend the soil at the new abode I have had to turn to commercial compost to supplement.
I am "field testing" LOL! the compost from the school lunch program. Our schools send the organic food scraps from lunch to a facility near Tacoma, WA to be composted.
This is actually a high tech facility which uses state of the art composting techniques and produces a finished product in 90 days.

I have of course been composting like crazy, the worm bin and the yard bin are fully operational! All the kitchen scraps are going to compost as well as yard debris!
I have been separating out coffee grounds for acid plants and banana peels for the roses -
I actually have black soldier fly larvae! I am {wiping tear} so proud.
The lasagna beds are formed and the plan is taking shape . . .
